Things to Consider

While Peechi Dam is generally well-maintained, some areas damaged during the last monsoon season are still being repaired. We hope the authorities will expedite the process so that visitors can enjoy the place even more.

  • Open: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Entry Fee: Adults: ₹20, Children: ₹10
  • Getting There:
    • From Thrissur: Take the Mannuthi-Vadakanchery National Highway for 13 km, then turn right onto Peechi Road for 8 km.
    • Bus Service: Regular buses are available from Thrissur Sakthan bus stand from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
    • From Palakkad: Look for buses from Pattikkadu to Peechi.
  • Accommodation: You can book a stay at the Peechi House in advance. The daily rent is ₹610.

What to Expect at Night Street

The Night Street will feature a 24-hour beach park named ‘Sea Lounge’, developed in collaboration with local entrepreneur Muhammed Yasir. Spanning 1.28 acres among the swaying trees on the southern side of the beach, this park is designed to offer a delightful experience for visitors. With an investment of approximately 1.5 crores, the park is currently in its trial phase and is expected to be fully operational by the end of March 2025.

A Feast for the Senses

Visitors can indulge in a culinary adventure with 13 food courts offering a diverse range of delectable options, including premium foods, ice creams, sandwiches, juices, shakes, and traditional Arabic cuisine. The atmosphere is enhanced by beautiful electric lamps, creating a magical setting to enjoy the sea breeze.

Fun for Everyone

The park is designed to cater to all ages, featuring an open gym, a playground, and entertainment facilities such as a kids’ area, gaming zone, and even a bull ride. For those looking to capture memories, a 360-degree selfie camera and VR experiences will soon be available. Special provisions are also being made to ensure accessibility for differently-abled visitors, making it a welcoming space for everyone.

Safety and Sustainability

Safety is a top priority, with 18 CCTV cameras installed throughout the park and a dedicated team of 14 workers ensuring a secure environment. The park also boasts a 50,000-liter STP tank for waste treatment, highlighting its commitment to sustainability and cleanliness.

A Hub for Culture and Community

Once fully operational, the open stage will host various performances and programs, providing a platform for local talent and entertainment. Additionally, visitors can book huts in advance for a more private experience. Best of all, entry to the park is completely free, with a nominal fee for using certain equipment and facilities.
